Hi, Well, maverics might be free but that does not immediately make it better. I for one still have some email issues popping up now and then that i did not have with mountain lion. The thing is, I am not sure if apple still does security patches for mountain lion, they often only seem to support their latest os because its free and most people on the apple ecosystem update pretty quickly.
