Again though, you don't need to reformat your entire disk unless Mavericks 
proves to have problems no one else is having. Just erase the Windows partition 
to merge it back into your Macintosh HD partition, then install Mavericks. Of 
course, you should back everything up just in case, but a complete erasing of 
your entire disk is not necessarily a requirement.
