Are you using sl? I have seen many improvements with vo and Numbers
sence upgrading.
I've noticed that vo always announces the top-level row and column
heading as I move through the sells. If a row or column is several
headings deep, It doesn't read all of them, but I think that is a
small thing. You probably could get vo to behave differently in these
situations with a script.

One thing in particular that I think very worth mentioning is how vo
behaves in regards to cells containing menu items. In leopard, when I
activated and selected a menu option in a cell, Numbers would crash if
vo was running. That problem is gone sense upgrading to sl I'm happy
to say. I don't like crashing.
