Airport Express is totally usable with Snow Leopard, I'm not using Snow
Leopard just yet but Airport Express is not dependent on Snow leopard so
how do you use them? By selecting "Remote Speakers" from Itunes.
Airport Express has an audio output on it which plugs into your stereo
unit or whatever, you can also connect multiple computers to it wirelessly.
As for the other solution mentioned in another message? That's
software and no help whatever if you wish to stream your music directly
to a stereo device rather than another computer.
I'm behind on my email but I'm sure you'll hear a lot more about this as
there are I know quite a few users of Airport Express on this list.
