Hi, I used cut and paste to move files around in Windows for years with no great trouble. I may have cut something by mistake once or twice, but in that case Undo came to the rescue. On the whole, I like working with the Mac very much, but I miss this feature from Windows.
Cut and paste also doesn't work when reordering a playlist in itunes on the Mac, which is irritating. In Windows, I can cut a track, move to where I want it, and paste. ON the Mac, I copy the track, paste it where I want it, dismiss the dialog asking if I'm sure I want a duplicate track, then go to the original track and delete it. I'd love to not have to do those extra steps.
