Hi.

Sounds like your Skype is trying to start up when you log into your  
user account.
Try the following:
1: Open system preferences
2: Open the account settings
3: find your account in the table
4: stop interacting and switch to the login items tab
5: Interact with the table, find skype and stop interaction
6: Press the delete button and skype will not start up automatically  
again.

If you choose to install Skype again, I recommend you to disable the  
automatically log in from the skype preferences.
