Ben, I'm not sure if this will work or not but here goes: 1. On the iMac, go to System Preferences and click on the Startup Disk button. 2. Press the "Boot in Target mode" button. 3. The machine should restart. 4. Connect the iBook and iMac with a Firewire cable. 5 Boot the iBook.
