Outspoken was great up until system 6, and even though I didn't use it after that, Berkeley systems put out patches for it through System seven or eight. I held down a job, used a network and the Internet (such as it was), wrote a novel-length work of science fiction with it. I used a 2400-baud modem to play on a chat network with it. I have very fond memories of that Mac.
