Hi all

The article in English

There will be voices in Spanish for mac os x snowleopard

The next version of the apple operating system, known as snowleopard,
will include some very interesting new accessibility features,
particularly for blind users.

in this new version, known as Mac OS X 10.6 new Spanish voices will be
included. With this new development, one of the most important
berriers to this OS which existed for non-english speakers wil be
eliminated, the absence of free spanish speaking voices.

It's still not known which voices will be used in this next release of
the macintosh operating system, but even if they have the same quality
as Alex, the free english speaking voice incorperated in Mac OS X
Leopard, the voice will possess a very interesting balance between
quality of pronunciation and agility.

On top of incorperating these voices in Spanish, Snowleopard will
widen its support of refreshable braille displays, a better
personalization process for voiceover, the screenreader for mac OS X,
a better support for universal system access, and improvements in the
zoom performance for the screen magnification.

Let's hope that this new version of the apple operating system isn't
delayed for to long, even though rumor has it that it won't come out
on the market until the last three months of the year, owing to some
errors found in the most recent developer beta.

Personally as a native english speaker I would still regard this as
being something that should interest me and others who might have
spanish speaking friends, or who might be learning spanish. It's just
useful for everyone to know what is available. So I submit here a
rendering of the blog post in english. I have taken some liberty in
places, not translating exactly as it is written to better capture the
meaning, and have been more exact in other places. I saw at least one
severe spanish error which may have spanish readers laughing with
youthful abandon; it caused me to have a bit of uncertainty in places
of the article's meaning but I think its all here and the idea is
conveyed.
