Hello. I am new to Latex and I am trying to install Lyx on my Windows machine for the first time. So I downloaded the bundle installer and ran it. It goes through some steps, then launches Miktex installer. The Miktex installer finishes successfully but once the control is passed to the Lyx bundle installer again, it pops up an error message saying that it did not find Miktex and aborts installation. How can I fix this problem? How to does the installer check to see if Miktex is installed or not? Is there an environment variable or something that I can set and fix the problem?
btw, I use all default configuration in Miktex installation, so the problem is not that. Thanks, Ali.
