If you mean does not _exist_, this just says that something went wrong (most likely a LaTeX error) and the output file therefore was not created. Look at Document > LaTeX log to see if you can find an error message that might point to the actual problem. If you can't find the problem, try eliminating frames until you find the one causing the problem. All else failing, if you can cut it down to a short presentation that fails to compile, post the LyX file to the list. For what it's worth, after a little bit of learning I find Beamer very easy to use, and it makes excellent presentations. /Paul
