While you're at it, also take a look at Scribus.  It's a good way to
create title pages and other layout intensive documents.  ERT is a good
way to go if you are going to use the document template many times
(e.g., you are putting together a handout or something).  If it's
something you'll only do once, it's often easier to use a layout tool
and add it to your document:

Insert->File->External Material

Choose the File (as a PDF) and PDF pages from the template diagram.

Then click Ok.
