I have been wanting to try the handout version for some time and after upgrading to 1.6.5 this afternoon,it looks like I'm back in business.
Thanks for reminding me to check it again since I had not seen anything new for 1.6.4 this morning. Depending on the topic, etc, tufte layouts look very useful.
