I am having this very problem on Ubuntu Jaunty/amd64. I think it has been pretty constant all through the 1.6 series, but I do not have it on a Jaunty/i386 installation. I am not sure whether that is the essential difference, or it is something related to ghostscript. Regards, Thomas
