First, a \dominitoc must be inserted at the top of the master document

Then a \minitoc at the place where you want the minitoc to appear.

For unnumbered sections (section* environment) which must be inserted in the 
TOC or minitoc, the command \addstarredchapter{...} must be entered at the 
beginning of the starred section.

It works fine with me.
