What's being cited are LaTeX > "rubber lengths"! I have no idea why this would happen, but either (a) > there's some serious problem in your BibTeX file or else (b) there's a > problem in the LyX file itself that's causing this error. I'm guessing > maybe it's an extra "}" or "{" somewhere? But it's hard to debug from here.
Thanks for the reply! Well after exporting from lyx to plain tex and a LOT of trial and error in Kile I came to the following simple workaround: If I remove "\usepackage{babel}" it all works and my references show. If I leave \usepackage{babel} I get the weird citation white space errors. Beats me why this should be so. Im just happy it works now. Now I just need to be able to tell lyx not to add the babel package. Any idea how I would do that? Otherwise I will have to do pdf generation from Kile. Cheers Dirk PS: I can put the document online somewhere if anybody is interested in debugging further. -- Dirk Gorissen, PhD Candidate Intec Broadband Communication Networks (IBCN) Department of Information Technology (INTEC) Ghent University - IBBT dirk.goris...@ugent.be http://www.sumo.intec.ugent.be
