I'd bet that wouldn't be too bad. The code in lyx2lyx could be adapted
to this purpose.

Given the fact that I have only 2 books with Dekl's workaround (did I ever
thank you guys for giving us REAL character styles -- it's helped immensely),
I'd probably do those two in the same one-off method as the Word book. The
Dekl->Real conversion would probably take 4 hours per book. To me, writing a
program isn't worth it unless you're going to use it a lot.
Well, if you ever do need to do this, let me know. I know my way around
lyx2lyx---it's really a very good piece of work---and could probably
write such a thing in half an hour.
