Thanks Richard, Given the fact that I have only 2 books with Dekl's workaround (did I ever thank you guys for giving us REAL character styles -- it's helped immensely), I'd probably do those two in the same one-off method as the Word book. The Dekl->Real conversion would probably take 4 hours per book. To me, writing a program isn't worth it unless you're going to use it a lot. By the way, for those of you who didn't know Dekl Tsur, he was incredibly smart and resourceful. At the start of writing the 300 page "Troubleshooting Techniques of the Successful Technologist", I was ready to quit LyX over the lack of character styles.
