Again, FWIW, I _hate_ white backgrounds, and spend time with each program to figure out how I can reprogram it to something more 'quiet'. Ever wonder why legal pads are yellow(ish)? Why not leave the page background undefined? Most browsers allow selection of a default background color, don't they? John
