I guess that for Hebrew and Arabic we could query the system fonts in a
cross-platform way through QFontDatabase, check if there is an otf Hebrew
font and then export the LyX file to a XeTeX file and run it through XeTeX.
If there is no Hebrew font or XeteX is unavailable, then LyX could spit an
error message with a link to the wiki explaining how to install XeTeX and
free Hebrew otf fonts.
