Well, on Linux, I do have Hebrew LyX working fine, but it doesn't
solve my problem when I am using Mac OS X. On Linux, you can trust the
distro to package everything properly, and include all the
dependencies. On Windows and Mac OS X, you just put all your
dependencies in the binary distribution of your app. Yes, you lose the
advantages of a package manager (one instance of every package,
ability to update them separately etc.), but that's just the way it's
done on these platforms... Users expect the applications they get to
run out of the box.
