ok. I understand that. I think that the source of the problem could be that I use a beamer.layout which I do not remember well where I got, and there were differences with respect the one that the conversion tool covered, but I am not sure. The default font of the beamer.layout was San Serif and lyx-1.5.2 selects "Default" for the San Serif font and i think that this was the problem. When I have selected Helvetica for San Serif following your advice everthing looks the same as before (including Type 1 fonts). Thanks a lot for your help Paul. Best wishes
