The view source windows will, eventually, turn to 'view/edit source window', but as others have pointed out, the benefit does not really justify the efforts at this point. This is mostly because .tex -> .lyx conversion in lyx is not bullet-proof so the edit mode will not work well if we force the feature into lyx. Cheers, Bo
