Possibly related: I posted a query here a week or so ago but had no replies. When I run lyx I get a message saying: "Locale en_GB could not be set." This is because I use en_GB.UTF8. I don't see anyway to tell lyx to use a different locale but in my case it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects. This is on Debian Sid.
