Yes, but the dictionaries of the LyX site do not work either, if you install it for all users. Installing LyX for *all* and afterwards installing the English dictionary and afterwards the German one does not succeed on my machine. If I do it for a single user in *this sequence* everything is fine. It am afraid that if you install the version for all users, the dictionaries go to the wrong place. Another point, that could be a question of Aspell is, that it is important to install the English dictionary at first, regardless which dict you really want to use. Otherwise other dicts like the German one demands *every* word. You have to delete the whole Aspell directory and repeat the installation. But that could be a special thing of Aspell, and has nothing to do with LyX.
