I have still difficulties with the "sidecap"
Here is what I did (according to your clear instructions)
put in the preample:
\usepackage{sidecap}
\newcommand{\FigBesBeg}{%
\let\MyFigure\figure
\let\MyEndfigure\endfigure
\renewenvironment{figure}{\begin{SCfigure}}{\end{SCfigure}}}
\newcommand{\FigBesEnd}{%
\let\figure\MyFigure
\let\endfigure\MyEndfigure}
put before my fig float in ERT
\FigBesBeg
here comes my figure (which is rather long)
and behind the float in ERT
\FigBesEnd
However, the caption is still underneath the figure.
I wonder what the reason might be:
I am using koma script book style
but tried also article with no success re sidecap
I use twocolumns, but have clicked on the fig float on span columns
I have also changed to onecolumn with no success
in the preample I use in addition to the above:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%Legende nicht eingerückt
\setcapindent{0mm}
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\renewcommand*{\raggedsection}{}
but commenting this out does still not allow me to get sidecap
I wonder whether I could sent you, Uwe, the figure in question (64kb), in
case, you can't figure out from my description whats going wrong.
