I'll give it a try, but LyX is not on the Synaptic manager, as far as
I can see (on Ubuntu 7.04)... is it of your (= the LyX developers)
concern?

repository. Do you have this one enabled?

I have all repositories enabled and I can't see LyX. I have Ubuntu
7.04. I'll try apt-get install lyx instead...
