not too long afterwards. It's a wonderful package, and support for it
could well attract new users.
One issue is that the cite commands in biblatex aren't as fixed as
they
are with natbib, jurabib, and the like, so the citation dialog would
need to be more flexible than it presently is.
I suppose minimal support could be provided by having an option in
Document Settings > Bibliography that automatically loads the package
(before or after babel; I forget which it is) and provides the proper
command for listing the bibliography. But biblatex is still in
testing and the author discourages it from being included in standard
LaTeX distributions because things are in flux. I'd suggest that full
support ought to wait.
