LyX 1.4.4 crashing on OS X

Hi,

I've tried LyX 1.4.4 (PPC version) on OS X on 2 different computers  
and on both LyX crashes when opening an existing file (like one of  
the help-files).
I can create a new document, save it and open it again without problem.
Anybody else having this problem?
