Can't install lyx 1.3.7 on OS X. Can't see my tetex install

I can't get lyx-aqua to see my tetex install, I've done the  
reconfigure thing, no dice.  I'm using the standard Os X latex  
install in the
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/ dir.
