Frans, You cannot; it's inimical to LyX-Code mode which is a verbatim rendering of what you enter. Instead, use Ctrl-[Enter] where you want to break the line (to prevent it from being seen as a new paragraph), add spaces as appropriate, shake and repeat as necessary. Rich -- Richard B.
