Yes, it is painfully a very long installation process for MS Windows
users. Most of the time, I use Linux, but sometimes I am in places
where there are only MS Windows machines, and once I had to install it
on a MS Windows computer. Probably, it is as long as it is because no
better solution was found, but I hope that this problem should be
addressed in the next versions, as it is a crucial point for making
LyX appealing for the very large market of MS Windows potential users.
