I use different languages in my file and I have the following call in my preamble:
\usepackage[greek, italian, german, french, english]{babel} \languageattribute{greek}{polutoniko}
The net result, however, is that the heading strings are never produced in English, although I specify English last. I looked at the LaTeX file exported by LyX in a text editor and found out that it begins with:
%% LyX 1.3 created this file. For more info, see http://www.lyx.org/. %% Do not edit unless you really know what you are doing. \documentclass[letterpaper,oneside,greek,english,chapterprefix]{scrbook}
Now, if I manually delete the 'greek, english' option to the scrbook doc class and compile the file from the terminal everything works as it should, i.e. I get all the heading strings in the last language used when babel is called.
Does anyone know why those options are there? I suppose they come from either the LyX preferences or from the document layout preferences, but all my attempts to play with the language settings in those two panels have resulted in LyX files that generate tens of errors.
Any help is appreciated.
Stefano
