Well, dead-keys mechanism was working in previous version of LyX, so it's
not question of new feature.

My time is already 'sold' in helping/testing different open-source projects
and I'm not C++ coder myself, and it seems that Unicode is not high-priority
for the majority of LyX users.

LaTeX already has it with ucs package, and Kile also develops nicely, which
mean that I'll probably have to bid farewell to LyX.
