Installing new BibTeX styles (Jurabib) in LyX/Mac

I have been trying to install Jurabib on my current LyX/Mac 1.3.4 
installation with no success and I wonder if someone can help. (I 
understand from a previous  message that there currently are 
limitations to LyX support for Jurabib, but I'm willing to live with 
them until LyX 1.4 comes out).
I installed the Jurabib package in the latex directory and moved the 
.bst files to the BibTeX bst directory, which in my case is

 /usr/local/share/texmf/bibtex/bst
I did the usual Edit>Reconfigure and restarted LyX and was expecting to 
see the Jurabib styles show up in the BibTeX dialogue (i.e. , but they 
are not there. Any suggestions?
