The Customization Manual has provision for a number of symbols, for example:
00.00.0000 C-s e math-insert \sum -- Summation symbol \sum (not the same as the Greek letter uppercase Sigma \Sigma because it can resize and allows smart upper/lower limits). ^^^^
The Sigma is rendered as P on the LyX screen, but correctly from the dvi file.
The same is true of other symbols, the differential operator, for example.
I presume that my XP version of LyX is not properly configured.
Could someone advise please?
