Working at a document with people using word processors other than lyx is currently impossible, since using latex as common format does not work (even importing latex files into lyx is not easy; that is explecially true if those latex files have been produced by kword or opensoffice).
I am wondering if it would be worth considering to develop the filters openoffice <--> lyx kword <--> lyx (i have no idea of the difficulties of such work) Such convenient utilities would encourage people to use lyx. -- Pol
