Indeed, Paul says that cygwin packages gnu sed 4.07 and that all is Ok with this. So the answer to your Win32 problems is clear: use a 'decent' sed. Perhaps one of you might contact Ruurd and get him to replace the sed that he distributes with something functional. -- Angus
