Thank you for the help. - OS SuSE Linux 8.0 - TeX (Web2C 7.3.7) 3.14159 - kpathsea version 3.3.7 - LyX version 1.1.6fix4 I use article class I should send a paper to a journal that asks for the following form of the citation of a bibliographic reference: .....the work done in ( Watson et al. (1992) )........ When in lyx I input a bibliographic reference it asks to me for a Key and a label, what I introduce in the label it is what i get in the document in the citation. The bibliographi item appears in the lyx file as: \bibitem [Watson et al. (1992)]{wat92} Lyx put it in the document in the following form: .....the work done in [ \bold(Watson et al. (1992)) ]........ I am not able to change the brackets "[" to "(", without editing the lyx file. The citation is not be giustified in the text and goes out of the page limit. When I use the book (AMS) class the citations appear in bold I would change this too. Sorry I hope to be clearer now. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Roberto Bernetti e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] V.
