Many of my users currently use lyx 1.2.3 on their Solaris/SPARC machines
without any problems.

I downloaded lyx 1.3.2, compiled it myself (with xforms), everything works
except one thing that might be connected to the new display code within
lyx:

After opening the math panel, clicking on one of the symbol buttons
(sum for example) and selecting that math symbol the editor window
only displays a latin character whereas the button shows the correct
symbol.

In the case of the sum symbol lyx gives "CMEX10 not found, using Courier"
on stderr, but the link to that font in xfonts/ points to a valid teTeX
font (tetex/texmf/fonts/type1/bluesky/cm/cmex10.pfb) and
fonts.dir/fonts.scale contains entries for that font.

So what's wrong, what is maybe special with Solaris and is there a
workaround for that "bug"?

Uwe
