Michael; Try this if you haven't already: View the file first as DVI, ie run LATeX on the file then find the associated .tex file in the temp folder (C:\blah\lyx\tmp\lyx_tmp_whatever\maybe_another\yourfile.tex)
Now import this file LATeX in and see if it works better. >From what I have just tried importing this file works just fine.
