This is curious. I haven't been able to reproduce this on LyX/Aqua, and have not heard a similar report from anyone else. LyX on Aqua must be more clever than we assumed. ;<) The language change mechanism isn't well tested and may not work as described in the HOWTO. In German, does your Preferences menu appear under Edit or under LyX? How about "About LyX" -- is it under LyX or under Help? You might try changing the language preference for the Mac to English in System Preferences and logging out and in again to see if that opens LyX in English. -- Ronald Florence www.18james.com
