eps figures move out of page

I use Lyx1.2.3, CygwinXfree86 on WinXP.
I have some graphics produced by printing to file using powerpoint and acrobat distiller
the graphics show fine on the lyx file but on the pdflatex output the graphics are moved down and to the right cutting off the pictures, unfortunately the eps file from powerpoint is too big to send as attachement to the list
