there are some problem with LyX and the letter layouts.
At first you need a "Standard" paragraph layout for
writing your header. Copy it from any other layout file
andpaste it into the g-brief.layout.
Look also at the new scrlettr2 class from koma-script,
it has a lot of additional features, also for a logo.
But there is no special LyX layout, you have to write
it in pure LaTeX.
