I don't have eps2eps. Is it in the LyX package? I run

on Linux 7.1J. Using ps to eps in gsview32.exe and with the -depth 8 in

eps

to xpm, the problem is still not solved. The problem seems related to

the

way in which functions are defined for drawing line in ps script. The

eps

file from GNUPLOT works fine. This phenomenon became evident after I
upgraed LyX from 1.6 to 2.1.
1.1.6 runs with gv and 1.3 with the internal xforms viewer.
I suppose a problem with the colors of your eps-file.
It is a grascale one and there maybe problems with the
definition of these colors like gray56.

I have been tracking this thread for a solution, but my problem is not
solved yet.

eps files which previously had been displayed in lyx now are not. Even the
mobious in the users guide. I have been generating them from various
programs (Corel Draw, Origin, etc.) and now they do not display on 1.2.
Edit->reconfigure didn't work, and my file names do not contain double dots.

Can anyone tell me about this internal xforms viewer and what it can display
(are these eps files I have been generating not "proper" or lacking
something in any way?, maybe I can generate them better...)

Another thing, I have noticed that in 1.2 the lyx can display bmp, gif, jpg
etc. on screen, but it cannot put them in the dvi or ps and complains about
lacking a converter. Can anyone tell me of command line converters to these
formats and what exactly needs to be done to encorporate them into the final
output?

Thanks.

Hi
I had the same problems. They were solved with installing ImagaMagick. With ImageMagick comes the "convert" command (I am not sure, but after installing it it was there)

Markus.
