>From what I've seen on comp.text.tex, the txfont and pxfont packages are
strongly deprecated. There are supposedly problems with them, which the
author isn't going to fix. So for at least those two packages, it probably
isn't worth supporting.
OTOH, I have used txfonts, and didn't notice any problems, but who am I to
say.
