Yes, but it seems not to work anymore with \mathrm{.... IIRC, it worked on
1.1.5, may be 1.1.6.

Everytime I try to convince TeX users to try LyX, I have in the end to
explain that they will be able to enter math formulae exactly as they are
used to, with the extra bonus of the math panel in case of emrgency ;-).
So, if LaTeX accept \mathrm{x}, my slant is that LyX should too.

Or should I submit a bug report ?
