Hi All -

First off, congrats to the lyx team for bringing out 1.2.0. I want to make
sure that the small critiques I have don't mask the fact that lyx is really
a great tool - certainly one without which I'd be stuck.

I am running lyx 1.2.0 off a standard Mandrake 8.2 box. I downloaded the rpm
from the Mandrake cooker (lyx-1.2.0-2mdk.i586.rpm) and installed it (after
some dependency problems which basically entailed upgrading to gcc-3.1).

Given that I installed a lyx binary it is possible that the problems I have
are not a problem with lyx per se, but with how Mandrake built their
particular binary.

Anyway - several posts have reported problems with the in-line display of
*.eps figures. Basically lyx documents that rendered fine under 1.1.6f4
would usually not show imported figures properly in 1.2.0.

I am having the same problems, but only with *.epsi figures. Standard ps and
eps files seem fine. However all my imported *.epsi figures give "Error
converting to loadable format". In the console window from where I started
lyx, the following appears (with variations on the ./magic*):

convert: Unable to open file (./magic6fK0t5) [No such file or directory].
convert: Missing an image file name.

Any suggestions?

And finally, I really miss the "Fullscreen preview" option that lyx 1.1.6
used to have when clicking on a figure. With lyx 1.2.0 my *.ps / *.eps
figures render *terribly* - basically looking like low-resolution thumb
nails. I'd strongly suggest putting the "Fullscreen preview" button back
into lyx 1.2.0.

Cheers
Rudolph
