I just got the cvs version of lyx and was able to
compile it without any problems (frontent=xforms, use
pspell the only options). When I run lyx I get:

[lueyb@localhost lyx-devel]$ /usr/local/lyx2/bin/lyx
MenuItem(): LyX command `buffer-open' does not exist.
Unable to find icon `file-open'
Unable to find icon `buffer-write'
Unable to find icon `buffer-print'
Unable to find icon `cut'
Unable to find icon `copy'
Unable to find icon `paste'
Unable to find icon `font-emph'
Unable to find icon `font-noun'
Unable to find icon `font-free'
Unable to find icon `footnote-insert'
Unable to find icon `marginalnote-insert'
Unable to find icon `depth-increment'
Unable to find icon `math-mode'
Unable to find icon `graphics-insert'
Unable to find icon `dialog-tabular-insert'
Unable to open character set file

The icons are the letter "p" instead of what they
should be, but more importantly I can't open a file
(it is greyed out from the file pull-down) and when I
try to create a new file, I get

Error: Textclass 'article' is missing a defaultstyle.
Error reading `~/'
(Check `article')
Check your installation and try Options/Reconfigure...
Aborted
[lueyb@localhost lyx-devel]$

and then lyx crashes. Any idea what is going wrong?
lyx 1.1.6 works fine and I tried deleting ~/.lyx but
that didn't change anything and I don't have the
option in lyx-cvs to do a reconfigure as it
suggetsions. I'm using mandrake 8.1 with

libxpm4-3.4k-17mdk
xforms-0.89-3
xforms-devel-0.89-3
xforms-static-0.89-3

Thanks!

Ben
