Under http://cygwin.com/xfree/ the cygwins tell it works now for w95, w98,
w2000 wME and wNT!! Also, as far as I understood it is free in source.
Furthermore there is no longer a single ALL.EXE archiv but a small installer
program that fetches the actual versions of the components from the
cygwin-server and installs - sound like nice for MSW users. So I wonder
whether we could just ask the cygwins how about to offer a LyX4win port
on their server as well - with the option: install LyX in the setup.exe
installer. - And for all the people with no or slow internet connection-
whether they would allow to include cygwin on a LyX4win CD.
